Just wondering where everybody uploads trackouts to. I currently use Dropbox but I'm considering buying a cheap hosting plan and uploading all my huge files there. Seems like you get a better deal doing it this way. Other services I'm curious about
1. Wetransfer
2. Google Drive
3. Mediafire
I use dropbox as well. You're paying for dropbox, yes? Or no? Dropbox recently upped the paid accounts to 1TB for $10/month. If you were to buy hosting from somewhere like GoDaddy, it's $3.50/month for 100GB. That's about 1/3 the price for only 1/10 the storage.
MediaFire Pro is underrated in my opinion. You get the full 1TB for half the price of dropbox, roughly around $5 monthly and on top of that, they have more features. They have SSL encryption to protect your files, they show you stats like number of downloads and so forth, and you could create a FileDrop folder to easily let anyone you choose (or the public) upload files to it. This is BIG for collaborations with other producers. I just give them a link and tell them to upload their audio files and they'll show up on my account under the FileDrop folder; genius. Dropbox is dope but I use it more for personal files or quick syncs between my macbook and my phone.

'@Maxx Factor' They've never let me or any of my customers down so I would say it's pretty reliable. It's a cloud storage service so I'm sure reliability is among their top priorities; it has to be. Give them a try.

I roll with dropbox....but indeed MediaFire pro sounds intriguing
Yeah, mediafire sounds pretty good too. I'm sure it's a great option. Even with a lower price and more features, however, I personally am sticking with dropbox for the moment. It would be such a pain to have to re-upload all the files I have stored on my dropbox account haha

I use GDriveURL.com -- it creates permalinks for your Google Drive files :)

'@beatsbychance' I noticed that the activity wall on GDriveURL.com allows others to access your files. Is there something im missing here.

I've been using Google Drive, partly because I already use so much google stuff I figured it would be easier and also it's really cheap ( I'm paying $2/month for 100GB). It doesn't give you any stats though and the download page doesn't look great and even confuses some people.
I'm thinking of switching to MediaFire, but re-uploading all that stuff doesn't sound like fun...
