How can you create a coupon code that can be used by many people, but only by a certain individual once?

I am inclined to say that you would need to create a separate coupon code for that individual and set the max usage to 1

'@Zeraphenom' Thanks for reaching out and responding. That's the problem, though. What if you want to market a promotional code through advertisements that could be used by hundreds. Entering in hundreds of individual codes would be pretty time consuming.
