    http://gabrel.net/

What's he's doing is selling one beat to just one customer.

    "Exclusive Rights
The track is sold to a single buyer and can no longer be sold thereafter.
Just ONE owner of the beat."

Sounds interesting, what do you guys think?

  3. Hi guys, i'm Gabrel, owner of the site.
I'm impressed for knowing that you are curious about my business. I'm curious too! haha
I don't know how this gonna be, but i will try.
Tomorrow i will start to promote my site, facebook page and youtube channel.

I'm not talking too much because english it's not my native language, and i don't know how to speak properly. Don't know what words i should use. Keeping basic. Sorry for that!

Hm... I guess I am missing something here... as I thought it was what 100% of producers do when selling exclusives (or custom beats)? Only one customer for a given beat...

EDIT: oh, I am realizing that maybe you find interesting the fact that Gabrel only sells exclusives.
I have seen numerous producers following this path, when they start to have some success, they switch to "exlusive /custom beats only".

yeah, i didn't sell through soundgine.
I sold for local rappers, personally business.
Put on soundgine to people know that i'm selling my beats. Marketing? maybe haha
And i will put more in the next days.

@Gabrel How has this been working

  11. Edited 5 months ago by spacedoutbeats

I think @Gabrel is fine if he want to start out like that. But aren`t licenses meant to make profit of our hard work? does it even matter to sale only one license (exclusive) ? I mean maybe it`s a good strategy to gain costumer, but what when you switch back to regular licenses (if ever) ? i don't know!

@spacedoutbeats ; he doesnt sell leases and if he decided to then it would be for different beats

@Gabrel was recently ranked 4th on the charts so I'm guessing he sold an exclusive recently, nice chunk of change.

I've considered switching over to this method. I think I'm just skeptical on how well it would work.

    WHAT? 4th? i didn't know about that!!!
I have been so busy mixing a lot o songs to local artist that i had no time to log in and see what is happening on my account/site. i didn't log in a couple of weeks ago :S (I feel like this sentence don't make sense. My english is so bad haha -_-; I have to practice more ). And i don't have sold a exclusive recently on my site, just local sales. I don't know why i ranked so high.

But this week i will not mix that much and focus in upload some beats and manage my site and social medias.

I'm thinking of switching to this at the beginning of the year.

  17. I have always considered this method, and I have technically been doing for a while now to local artists. I like the idea and after reading this forum I am definitely doing this as I haven't sold a beat yet, it will be a great way to start out I think.
